The International Scout 800A Improvements include more comfort options, slightly different front end styling, drivetrain upgrades (a heavier rear axle and quieter Dana 20 transfer case), and the V8 engine. The 800A's grille was in three segments: the center grill and two matte-black headlight bezels. The Light Line of pickup trucks received bodywork similar to that of the Scout in late 1969. The framing of the Scout has been upgraded along with the suspension and the tires. The front bumper includes a 12,000lbs winch. The rear includes a custom air compressor integrated into the tubular steel bumper as a holding tank for air. This is a perfect lightweight and agile 4x4 for off-road adventures, yet has the capability of being a recovery vehicle with its winch, lift, tires and onboard air. This International scout includes the removable Sport top for those sunny days.
